St. Petersburg to Have World's Longest Bar Counter

Yesterday, the Ladoga company took part in the creation in St. Petersburg of the World's longest bar counter. The event was sponsored by the administration of St. Petersburg in order to attract additional attention to the city in the period preceding its tercentenary.

The record is expected to be registered in Russia's and European editions of Guinness Book of Records. The 140 m-long specially made wood bar counter stretches through 8 halls of the Shuvalov Palace. Over 2 hours' time, 50 bar persons from the most prestigious clubs and restaurants of St. Petersburg will prepare 5,000 cocktails based on the Samson de Luxe vodka. With this unprecedented action, the Ladoga company begins promoting its products on St. Petersburg's market.

The previously longest in the world, 130 m-long bar counter registered in Guinness Book of Records was installed several years ago in France.
