Russian President Vladimir Putin held a conference with Russian Security Council members Saturday, on his first working day as head of state after inauguration for a second presidential term, said presidential press secretary Aleksei Gromov.
In his words, acting Prime Minister Mikhail Fradkov, presidential administration head Dmitry Medvedev, Security Council Secretary Igor Ivanov, acting Defense Minister Sergei Ivanov, acting Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, acting Interior Minister Rashid Nurgaliyev, FSB Director Nikolai Patrushev, and Foreign Intelligence Service head Sergei Lebedev took part in the conference.
Mr. Gromov said issues of the state's domestic and foreign policy were considered at the conference.
