Russia's admission to the World Trade Organization is possible only under standard conditions, Russian Deputy Economic Development Minister Maxim Medvedkov repeated on Friday. He heads the Russian delegations at the talks on Russia's admission to the WTO.
"The government's stand is that admission to the WTO is possible only under standard conditions, that is full volume of obligations, but simultaneously the full volume of rights under signed agreements," he said during the TV link-up Geneva-Moscow.
"Some partners" of Russia are trying to change the situation, Medvedkov pointed out. "But I do not think it is possible," he maintained.
Yesterday Geneva hosted a regular round of talks on Russia's admission to the WTO.
