Russian and Peruvian top financial agencies have signed a cooperation agreement, the information and public relations department of the Russian Audit Chamber announced. The agreement was signed today by Sergey Stepashin, the head of the Russian Audit Chamber, and Peruvian General Controller Genaro Matute Mejia. This document was signed within meetings devoted to the 50th anniversary of INTOSAI (International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions).
Later today, Stepashin is to meet with Hungarian Prime Minster Peter Medgyessy and David Walker, the head of the US General Accounting Office. Participants of the anniversary forum voiced a call for closer cooperation in the struggle against money laundering and the development of new financial cooperation forms.
