Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council Valentin Sobolev has seen how the process of returning internally displaced migrants to their former homes in Chechnya is proceeding, as well as how their safety and living conditions are being guaranteed. The Security Council's press service told journalists on Wednesday that Sobolev yesterday visited the Bart temporary accommodation site in Ingushetia.
The press service reported that Sobolev had pointed to the fact that more people were returning to Chechnya, which was thanks to the hard work undertaken by the republic's authorities to create normal living conditions.
In Sobolev's opinion, the recently adopted amnesty, a government decision to pay compensation for destroyed housing and preparations for elections in Chechnya, will all help people return to the republic.
