A South Korean poacher schooner was detained near the Kamchatka coast (the Russian Far East).
Deputy head of a special sea inspection Sergei Danigevich told journalists that the Korean schooner Manjok-21 was detained by the patrol vessel of the special sea inspection in the area of the Fourth Kuril Strait in the evening of March 27th.
As a result of the check 50 tons of pollack and 14 tons of cod, which were concealed from calculation, were found on board the schooner. A preliminary estimate showed that the damage makes up about $100,000.
At the present time, it is being decided how to convey the poacher schooner to the port of Petropavlovsk for further investigation.
