Cabinet To Ask Parliament For Extended Spring Session

The Russian Cabinet is going to approach the members of the State Duma [the lower house of parliament] with a request that they prolong their spring session to pass a number of important economic bills, said Vice Premier and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin. According to him, the Cabinet is determined to insist that the lower chamber adopt several important bills in the course of its spring session. Among them, Kudrin mentioned a draft on money laundering, the land code, a bill on registration of legal entities, and others.
