Russian Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Alexei Kudrin has discussed with European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) officials the possibility of securing Russia a loan for rebuilding Moscow's Ostankino television tower, which was badly damaged by fire August 28-29 of last year, State Construction Committee Chairman Anvar Shamuzafarov told the press on Wednesday, Interfax announces. "The rebuilding of the tower itself will require $40 million and reconstructing the television and radio broadcasting and communications systems $20 million," Shamuzafarov said. In the coming months, 149 steel support cables will be replaced, he said.
