Chechen bride and Russian bridegroom were shot in Chechnya the day before their marriage

Violent crimes are being committed in Chechnya. A double murder happened in the republic recently. A bridegroom and a bride were killed the day before their marriage. 20-year old Russian guy Alexander Lukianov and his 18-year old Chechen girl-friend Melani Murzayeva, had received a lot of threats, directed against them. But they did not give in to the threats. And they were shot, the day before the marriage. Peaceful inhabitants of Chechnya are used to receiving threats from bandits. And, as a rule, these threats were not carried out. It was stressed many times that the militants had no power to fulfil them. But the situation changed a few days ago. The information about series of murders, committed in Chechnya arrived yesterday. Today Pravda.ru received similar information. It was possible to predict such course of events. Russian officials stated in autumn that militants got to the flat part of Chechnya under the guise of peaceful inhabitants. Male population abruptly increased in most of settlements. There were 1,5 thousand militants in Chechnya by the beginning of winter. And they are only “illegal” militants. But there were a lot of “legal” militants as well: the revels who came to Kadirov and confessed their guilt and were pardoned because they “have not soiled themselves with blood”. Actually almost every militant, taken prisoner, was pardoned. In fact, it is very difficult to prove the guilt of ordinary militant. To all appearances, amnestied and “illegal” militants are taking the situation in Chechnya into their hands now. It’s an evidence of inefficiency of local power structures activity. Federal centre is losing control of the situation again, as it happened during last Chechen war. It is getting clear that the anti-terrorist operation was confronted with lots of problems.
