Mir Station may be sunk ahead of schedule

Specialists of the mission control cannot get in contact with Mir orbital station, through they try to do it every half an hour. The connection broke on Monday at 18.41 Moscow Time, when the specialists of the mission control failed to get in contact with Mir. Further repeated attempts did not produced an effect either. In this connection the mission control experts stated that they would probably remove the station from orbit ahead of schedule. Formerly it was supposed to happen in February 2001. The possible date of the operation is not appointed yet.
