The plan of Kursk submarine lifting, sunk in the Barents sea, will be ratified in January 2000, vice-PM Ilya Klebanov told journalists today. Answering journalists’ questions, he reported that the estimated cost of the operation, scheduled for summer 2001, is about $ 80 million, “Ria-Novosti” announces. 60 million of this sum are to pay for the work of western partners of Russia, who will participate in the operation.
