Manchester United lost at home to Liverpool today and wait for tomorrow’s North London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham to see if Arsenal can come within three points of United to leave the Championship race wide open. This was a week of mixed fortunes as in the bottom four, two teams lost and the other two won and just behind the leaders, Ipswich, Leicester, Newcastle and Liverpool won. The season seems to be wide open and with a long way to go, Manchester United has no reason whatsoever to be complacent.
