Pope appeals for pardon

USA citizen Edmond Pope, sentenced by Moscow City Court to 20 years of imprisonment, decided not to send an appeal to the court. Instead of it Pope appealed to Russian President Vladimir Putin for pardon. The Kremlin press-service has just announced that Vladimir Putin received the letter and passed it to the RF President’s Committee for Pardon. The sitting of the Committee will take place tomorrow.
