WHAT THREATENS RUSSIA’S SECURITY?

The results of an opinion poll conducted among Russia’s elite by the Independent Research Centre ROMIR show the following. Among major factors presenting, in the respondents’ view, a threat for Russia’s security are global population growth (73.8%), Russia’s interference in international conflicts (79.4%), foreign companies appropriating Russia’s enterprises (87.4%), NATO enhancing eastwards (87.4%), inter-ethnic conflicts inside Russia and CIS (96.5%), Russia’s inability to tackle its internal problems (99.1%), IMA-press reports.
