“Today we should make a decision about reforming of military organisation of the state, its internal structure, budget and numerical strength” – said Vladimir Putin opening the sitting of the RF Security Council in Kremlin. The President also said that it was prodigally and wrong to keep bulky and ineffective army, and it is even impermissible in our circumstances, Ria-Novosti reports. “The saved money will be used for improvement of the alertness of the army and material state of the servicemen”, Putin remarked. He also empowered the government and the Security Council to control the expenditure of funds being allocated for the reforming of the military structure of the state.
