the State Duma approved a new distribution scheme of the income tax

Having passed the draft bill "On the 2001 federal budget" on the second reading deputies of the State Duma also approved a new distribution scheme of the income tax. Starting January 1, 2001 99% of the tax will stay in regional budgets (currently 84%), RBC announces. The deputies also cancelled all special budget funds except for the Nuclear Ministry special fund. The third reading of the draft budget will take place on December 1, 2000.
