Turkish Ship is fired at by Russian Border Guards

Russian border guards fired on a Turkish dry-cargo ship "Hichi Halmibey" this night at a Black sea's Russian port in Novorossiysk. The ship managed to leave the port without paying for port services, RIA "Novosti" news agency reported. The ship did not react to the guards' stop request. Only after the guards fired serial shots, the captain got into contact with a dock service center. The captain assures that the ship did not stop in time due to a failure in the ship's engine. The ship was surrounded by Russian coastguard ships and an inspection group is working on the board. An investigation is under way.
