Yukos Reports Rise In Oil Production In First Half Of 2001

The Russian oil company Yukos reported a 17.2 per cent increase in oil production in the first half of 2001. It reached 27.7 million tons, or 202.4 million barrels, the company's press service reported. In addition, Yukos remained the leader in a rise in oil production among Russian oil companies. The company expects a total rise in the volume of oil production to reach 16 per cent in 2001 in general as compared to 2000.
