Gazprom declined to comment of the situation that resulted from yesterday's meeting of the NTV television station's Executive Board, at which the station's top managers passed a "no confidence" vote to current General Director N. Senkevich, the Gazprom spokesman reported to RosBusinessConsulting. As it was reported earlier, on January 30, 2003 NTV Executive Board addressed the station's shareholders (in particular, Gazprom CEO Alexey Miller and Chairman of Gazprom Board of Directors Dmitry Medvedev) in a letter with a request to resolve the current crisis.
In an NTV's press release disseminated later Deputy General Director of the television station Sergey Piskaryov said that "the crisis may provoke highly qualified staff's resignation, which will inevitably impact the station's ratings and relations with program content suppliers".
