Mass Hospitalisation of Servicemen With the Diagnose of Pneumonia

The press service of the North Caucasian Military District has confirmed the fact of a mass hospilalisation of servicemen with the diagnose of pneumonia. The head of the military district's press service, Gennady Alyokhin, said that at the present time 59 soldiers were in hospital.

According to him, most likely, the servicemen fell ill because of the cold weather. As the head of the press service pointed out, the main version is that the servicemen might catch a cold after their visit to the bathhouse. But he said that they fell ill not immediately, but in the course of several weeks: the soldiers were hospitalised as the diagnosis of pneumonia was confirmed.

A virus infection has not been excluded either. But Gennady Alyokhin denied the possibility of the soldiers' supercooling in the barracks.
