A strong snowfall caused by a cyclone complicated the situation on Kamchatka roads (peninsula on the Sea of Okhotsk) on Tuesday.
The Kamchatka interregional territorial administration of hydrometeorology and environmental monitoring reported that the strong western cyclone from the Sea of Okhotsk began influencing the peninsula's southern regions.
Heavy precipitation is being observed in the regional center and in a number of districts, the wind is 15-20 meters per second.
Cars move with headlights switched on. The ground is covered with snow. The road safety police has asked drivers not to use cars now.
According to weather forecasters, meteorological conditions will deteriorate in the coming hours. The cyclone will move to the north only at night.
