Russia's Prime Minister Mikhail Kasyanov will pay a working visit to Germany on 2-3 December to take part in a gala meeting held to mark the 50-th anniversary of Germany's Eastern Economic Committee, Prime Minister's spokeswoman Tatyana Razbash told journalists on Saturday.
According to her, on 2 December, Mikhail Kasyanov plans to participate in the discussion titled as "The Future of Transformation Processes in Eastern Europe". Other speakers include Romania's Prime Minister Adrian Nastase, Serbia's Prime Minister Zoran Djindjic, President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Jean Lemier, etc. The participants are going to discuss such vital issues as political stability, construction of civil society and the current economic situation. They will also consider the prospects for accession of Eastern European countries to the European Union and the World Trade Organization.
Later in the day, Mikhail Kasyanov is to hold talks with German Chancellor Gerhard Schroeder. On 3 December, the Russian Prime Minister will meet with captains of Germany's business community.
