Two U.S. troops were killed and another injured in a single-vehicle traffic accident in eastern Ethiopia, the U.S. military said Tuesday.
An Ethiopian civilian was also injured in the accident, which occurred near Camp Hurso, 350 kilometers (215 miles) northeast of the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, the statement from the Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa said. The injured soldier and the Ethiopian driver were flown to a military medical center at the task force's headquarters in Djibouti.
The names and units of those involved were withheld pending notification of their families, the task force said.
The task force said it may convene an accident investigation board to determine the cause of the incident, the AP reports.
