Police wound gunman during arrest in Caucasus city
Police shot and wounded a man in the troubled Caucasus region of Ingushetia on Tuesday as they tired to arrest him for allegedly participating in an armed &to=http://english.pravda.ru/society/2002/08/24/35177.html' target=_blank>Islamic extremist gang, the Interior Ministry said.
Suspect Isa Ozdoev started firing on police as they tried to arrest him in Ingushetia's main city, Nazran, said Roman Shchekotin, an Interior Ministry spokesman.
