91 fires have emerged in Russian forests over the past 24 hours, the information department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry informed RIA Novosti on Friday.
A total of 498 fires have been registered in Russia. In the last 24 hours the fire has embraced over 27,5 thousand hectares. Nearly 7 thousand people, one thousand units of ground-based equipment and 78 aircraft have been involved in the elimination of the fire.
Most of the fires have been registered in East Siberia and Far East, with 98, 187 and 51 fires registered in the Chita region, the Irkutsk region and Buryatia respectively. 12 big fires embraced Yakutia's forests.
