Assassination Attempt On The Life Of Head Of Argun Administration

An assassination attempt on the life of Movsar Tmerbayev, head of the Administration of the Chechen town of Argun, was made on Thursday. RIA Novosti learned from the local law-enforcement bodies that a land mine was blown up in Shosseinaya Street in downtown Argun on Thursday. The blast went off at the moment when Tmerbayev's car was driving along the street. Fortunately, nobody was killed or hurt in the blast. The law-enforcement bodies have begun investigating into the incident, with representatives of the prosecutor's office and police working at its site.
