Head of the Northern Fleet press service Vladimir Navrotsky told RIA Novosti on Wednesday that the guided missile cruiser Petr Veliky had become the first of the ships involved in the special operation to raise the Kursk nuclear submarine to reach Severomorsk, the fleet's base. The cruiser was accompanying the Giant-4 barge, which is hauling the Kursk home. The press service head said that the barge was expected to arrive in Belokamenok bay at about 14.00 Moscow time. The bay is opposite Roslyakovo, the submarine's final destination. Navrotsky said that so far everything had been going according to plan.
