October 12 saw the opening of a new business incubator in the town of Pavlovo. This innovative center for the development of small and medium-sized businesses became the sixth in the region, writes News-NN.ru.
Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Valery Shantsev attended the opening ceremony. "The successful implementation of the program of the construction of business incubators in the Nizhny Novgorod region is an important element for the growth of small and medium businesses. Such centers help implement innovative ideas. Before the end of 2012, we will open two more centers, in Vyksa and Bor. Creating the conditions for such projects, we get new jobs, additional tax base, and thus obtain a possibility to fund social needs at a greater extent," Shantsev told the Rossiyskaya Gazeta.
The construction of the business incubator in Pavlovo cost 40.9 million rubles. The center was designed for 20 resident companies; the rooms for 10 companies have already been equipped. There will be 70 jobs created in total. "Business Incubator "Pavlovsky" has been organized as part of the long-term program of support and development of small and medium entrepreneurship," the head of the local government of the Pavlovsky district, Victor Kurenkov said. Such centers are designed to support small, newly established companies and the entrepreneurs who begin their business.
According to the residents of the center, it is extremely difficult to open one's own business for the development and production of new products without support, Time:News said. "With the emergence of the business incubator, we were able to develop an innovative product and purchase spare parts. Now we are planning to launch the serial production," a resident of "Pavlovsky" business incubator, CEO of Rusinvertor, Alexander Shirokov believes.
The system of business incubators, which was launched by governor Valery Shantsev, has already allowed the region to become a leader in the Volga Federal District and enter the top four of Russian regions on the innovative activities of enterprises. Established in 2007, one of the first Russian business incubators "Nizhny Novgorod" received federal approval. During five years of its existence, as many as 20 innovative companies have developed in the incubator. All of them operate well on both domestic and international markets.
