On Saturday, a very smart swindler managed to cheat three people in Moscow within a few hours
The people wanted to buy a Ford Focus car that the man was selling. The swindler seized money that prospective buyers brought especially for the purchase and fled.
The Moscow central police department reports, a 44-year-old Muscovite was the first to fall victim to the swindler. When the owner of the car met with the man in one of the Moscow streets, he demonstrated technical potential of the automobile; then the partners struck a bargain. At 10:50 a.m. the client counted money once again and gave $11,000 to the owner of the car. But suddenly the latter changed his mind and said he wouldn't sell the car. Instead of the money the client had given him several minutes before the swindler gave back counterfeit money. Then he jumped in his car and disappeared. When the client realized he was cheated, he immediately went to the police.
Meanwhile, the swindler was scheming a machination with one more victim. A 24-year-old woman from the city of Vidnoye in the Moscow region also fell for the bait and decided to buy the Ford Focus. The woman met with the swindler on Moscow's Kutuzovsky Avenue. At 12:25 p.m. the swindler got $11,200 from the woman and off he went. The woman also came to the police for help.
Next the swindler met with his client near Oktyabrskoye Pole metro station. At 1:30 p.m. he got $11,200 from a 63-year-old Muscovite and escaped in the car that was supposed to be sold. The police are searching for the man.
