Soyuz capsule brings three spacemen back to Earth safely. 45393.jpegSoyuz TMA-21 with three cosmonauts on board successfully landed in Kazakhstan, the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper reports. The capsule brought back home Russia's Andrei Borisenko, Alexander Samokutyaev, as well as USA's Ronald Garan. Officials with Mission Control said that the crew endured the landing well.

Three Antonov airplanes, 14 Mi-8 helicopters, as well as seven rescue vehicles took part in the search for the capsule. The three spacemen will be delivered to the airdrome of Karaganda and then to Moscow's Chkalovsky.

"The crew endured the descent and landing normally. The men feel fine; they are in good mood. The weather in the landing area in Kazakhstan is normal as well," an official spokesman for Rosaviation said.

Cosmonaut Sergei Volkov, NASA's astronaut Michael Fossum and Japan's Satoshi Furukava will continue working on board the International Space Station.

The landing of the Soyuz capsule was delayed from September 8 to September 16 because of the failed launch of Progress M-12M space freighter at the end of August, RBC said.
