Tornadoes ravage Texas, at least 6 killed

Powerful tornadoes that ravaged the territory of Texas, killed at least six people. Dozens were injured and hundreds were left homeless as a result of the disaster.

The storm has become the largest one in the United States this year. Rescuers said that the death toll may climb, as seven people are still missing and 53 are injured. The tornadoes have left 20,000 homes and businesses without electricity.

According to various estimates, one of the tornadoes that struck the town of Cleburne, was about 1.6 kilometers wide.

Tornadoes are commonplace in the USA. In April, as a result of tornadoes and storms in Midwestern and southern states, three people  were killed. On Christmas night, as many as 15 tornadoes ravaged the United States. More than 100,000 people were without electricity, several people were killed and dozens were injured.
