A theatre performance devoted to the 180th birth anniversary of Fyodor Dostoyevsky will be held in Estonia's Russian Drama Theatre on Monday evening, said Nikolai Solovei, Chairman of the republican Union of Slavonic Charities. On November 11, Dostoyevsky's admirers will lay flowers to the memorial board in Uus street installed in memory of the great writer who used to visit Tallinn, then Revel, in the middle of the 19th century. In addition, a stone will be laid on the spot of the future monument to the writer in the Kanuti park on November 11. The Estonian public is raising money to erect the monument. The monument to Dostoyevsky is to be erected in Tallinn on May 31, 2002.
