Five Chinese automakers to exhibit vehicles at 2008 North American International Auto Show

The 2008 North American International Auto Show will display vehicles from five Chinese automakers next January.

Changfeng Motor Group, BYD Auto Co., Geely International Corp., China America Cooperative Automotive Inc./ZXNA (Chamco) and Li Shi Guang Ming Auto Design Co. will display vehicles at the show.

"With so much interest surrounding their products, we expect the thousands of industry executives and international media who attend our show will be eager to learn more about these companies first hand," said Carl Galeana, senior co-chairman for the NAIAS 2008.

Geely and Changfeng are making their second appearances. In 2006, Geely showed off a sedan in the hallways outside the main exhibit space, while Changfeng appeared at the show earlier this year.

Detroit is the most critical North American auto show in terms of product launches and media attention. The 2008 Detroit show runs Jan. 19-27.
