An Israeli plane with 163 passengers made an emergency landing at a Berlin airport and a terror attack could not be ruled out, an airport spokeswoman said Wednesday.
Smoke was detected in the cabin of the Israir flight 251 during landing at Berlin's Schoenefeld airport on Tuesday night Rosemarie Meichsner said, adding that the pilot had radioed for emergency assistance.
"An attack cannot be ruled out," Meichsner said. "The Federal Aviation Agency has opened an investigation."
The passengers, including a baby, left the aircraft through emergency slides, she said. One woman was injured and taken to a hospital.
