The best movie win by "Election" at the awards ceremony held late Sunday marks its domination of the Hong Kong awards circuit this year. It also won best film at the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Hong Kong Film Critics Society awards, according to the AP.

Simon Yam won best actor for his portrayal of a businessman-like gang leader in "Election."
