EU economy commissioner visits Estonia

Almunia was to meet with Prime Minister Andrus Ansip and Finance Minister Aivar Soerd about Estonia's preparations to adopt the EU's common currency, which it hopes to do in 2008, and the development of the Baltic country's economy.

Estonia was one of 10 countries to join the EU in 2004, according to the AP.
