After his retirement, Krispin devoted himself to human rights issues and problems of the Jewish community in Bulgaria.

In 1992, B'nai B'rith, the international Jewish society, restored its chapter in Bulgaria, which had been banned in 1941. Krispin was elected its first president.

In 1994, he published the book "Anti-Semitism in Bulgaria."

Funeral details and survivors were not immediately available, the AP reports.
