Agreement between Australia and Turkey signed to strengthen military ties
The head of Australia's defense force, Air Chief Marshal Angus Houston, signed the agreement with the commander of the Turkish armed forces, Gen. Hilmi Ozkok, at a ceremony in Canberra.
Further details of the agreement were not immediately available, the AP reports.
Ozkok is also expected to meet with Defense Minister Brendan Nelson during his visit to Australia.
