The release of Matrika Yadav, the highest-ranking Maoist leader imprisoned by the government, and Suresh Ale, a midlevel rebel, was the latest sign that the peace process in the Himalayan country is beginning to take hold.
"Our struggle will continue," Yadav told reporters as the two walked out of prison with their belongings in a bag and their families at their side.
