A school bus and a truck collided head-on early Wednesday, injuring 27 children and the truck driver, said police in the western German town of Senden, where the accident occurred.
Five of the children were seriously injured, said Ralf Storck, a spokesman for Senden police.
The accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. (0530GMT) at an on-ramp to a main highway, Stork said.
No further information regarding the children or the injuries they suffered was immediately available, reports the AP.
