A Kenyan military plane carrying four members of parliament and a provincial commissioner crashed in northern Kenya on Monday causing several severe injuries, a civil servant at the scene said. There were no immediate reports of deaths.
The leaders were to attend a meeting in Marsabit, 450 kilometers (280 miles) northeast of Nairobi, when their military plane crashed while landing. The senior civil servant saw the provincial commissioner with a leg injury and said that one of the pilots lost both of his legs in the crash. The official said he did not have any immediate information about the fate of the lawmakers, reports the AP.
