British foreign secretary still not well, cancels appearance before Commons committee

British Foreign Secretary Jack Straw canceled an appearance before a House of Commons committee Tuesday because of a lingering illness.

Straw's ailment, which has kept him in bed with a high fever, was disclosed on Thursday when he pulled out of a planned meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni in London , reports the AP.
