Million dollar Web site targeted by hacking ransom gang

A Web site that earned an enterprising British student US$1 million (Ђ820,000) has been attacked by &to=http://english.pravda.ru/main/18/90/362/16374_hacker.html - 16 Jan 2006' target=_blank>hackers demanding a ransom, he said Wednesday.

Alex Tew, 21, said milliondollarhomepage.com was targeted after he revealed how it helped him raise money to fund his university studies.

The budding entrepreneur sold 10,000 small squares of advertising space on the Web site for US$100 (Ђ80) each, achieving his target in four months.
