Gunmen kill security guards in Baghdad

Police said gunmen killed at least six security guards Wednesday during an ambush in &to=http://english.pravda.ru/war/2003/04/08/45800.html' target=_blank>Baghdad in which two engineers disappeared, while Iraqi authorities held out hope that kidnapped American journalist Jill Carroll would be released.

Meanwhile, a roadside bomb targeted a convoy carrying American police trainers in the southern city of Basra, killing two U.S. civilians employed by security contractor DynCorp International and seriously wounding a third, the Irving, Texas-based company said.
