Marine in Iraq dies from non-hostile gunshot wound

A Marine was found dead from an apparent non-hostile gunshot wound, the military said Sunday. The death is under investigation by the Naval Criminal Investigative Service, the military said. The Marine, assigned to Regimental Combat Team 2, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, was dead on Saturday from an apparent non-hostile gunshot wound aboard Forward Operating Base Haditha Dam.

The name of the Marine wasn't released pending notification of relatives, the AP reports.
