Confirmed bird flu tally likely to rise to 80 dead, over 160 cases

The number of people worldwide who have died from the deadly H5N1 strain of &to=http://english.pravda.ru/main/18/90/360/14580_birdflu.html' target=_blank>bird flu since 2003 has likely risen to 80, World Health Organization officials said Friday, though the agency's official tally was still being reported at 78.

At least 162 people have probably been infected with the disease worldwide over the same period, WHO officials said.
