U.S. forces to concentrate on training Iraqi police

&to=http://english.pravda.ru/war/2003/04/08/45739.html' target=_blank>U.S. troops in Baghdad will focus increasingly on training the Shiite-dominated special police forces, a top U.S commander in Iraq said Friday, which reflects efforts to quell friction among the country's ethnic factions.

Maj. Gen. William G. Webster Jr., commander of coalition forces in Iraq, also said in discussing the withdrawal of U.S. to begin in coming months that Baghdad, center of gravity for the insurgency, probably will be the last place coalition forces leave and turn over to the Iraqis.
