Guatemalan volcano erupts
&to=http://english.pravda.ru/science/19/94/377/14717_vaccine.html' target=_blank>Guatemala's Volcano of Fire spat lava and ash on Tuesday, leading the country's national disaster agency to issue an orange alert and discuss whether to evacuate nearby residents.
Emergency workers were headed to communities near the volcano, 40 kilometers (25 miles) southwest of the capital, Guatemala City, said disaster agency spokesman Benedicto Giron.
If the volcano continues to erupt, Giron said, the government may issue a red alert and evacuate some 27,000 people from 78 towns and villages.
