During the address, she will say that the last year has shown the "world is not always an easy or safe place to live in, but is the only place we have."
Her speech comes in a year when suicide bombers struck at the heart of London and a powerful earthquake left thousands dead in Pakistan and India. Just a day after last year's speech a devastating tsunami led to the deaths of hundreds of thousands in Southeast Asia.
