Kennedy auction in New York sells reading glasses and rocking chair

An auction of memorabilia from the Camelot era on Friday reflected John F. Kennedy's years as president _ and as a middle-aged man who suffered from back pain and needed glasses to read.

A pair of the president's reading glasses sold for $16,800 (Ђ14,020) on Friday, and the rocking chair in which he nursed his ailing back went for $60,000 (Ђ50,071). Kennedy's well-used, plain black leather wallet fetched $48,000 (Ђ40,057) .
